Expecting to receive 160 official delegations from all continents, LAAD Defense & Security will hold its 13th edition from April 11th to 14th, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The fair brings together the main Brazilian and foreign companies that supply products and services to the armed and security forces.
So far, several countries have accredited their delegations to see the launches of 250 exhibitors representing 400 brands. Are they:
– Germany, Argentina, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Egypt, Ecuador, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain;
– United States, Ethiopia, Philippines, Finland, France, Ghana, Guatemala, French Guiana, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Netherlands, Honduras, Italy, Jordan, Nigeria, Panama;
– Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal and the United Kingdom, among others,
With a forecast of 45 thousand visitors, LAAD Security & Defense 2023 will present the main news for the segments of:
– Aeronautical and naval engineering, personal and tactical equipment, ammunition and weapons, optics and optronics, consultancy, training and services, cyber defense and cyber security;
– Counterterrorism, transmission, communication and positioning, emergency, rescue and rescue, access control and surveillance, criminal and forensic expertise and vehicles.
“The record number of official international delegations reinforces the importance and representation of the Latin American market”, says Sergio Jardim, general director of Creative Events, organizer of LAAD Defense & Security.
“It will be an opportunity to update and exchange on the latest trends and technologies for the defense and security sector”, he adds.
Armed forces
According to the Air Force commander, Air Lieutenant General Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, the participation of the Brazilian Air Force in LAAD 2023 represents an important resumption of meetings, debates and exhibitions on defense and aerospace topics.
For the Navy Commander, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, it is important to note that defense and security fairs provide, throughout the world, a unique opportunity to encourage discussions and strengthen relationships between the Armed Forces.
“And this would be no different with LAAD, the largest in Latin America, which directly contributes to strengthening the national defense industry and strengthening friendship ties between participating countries”, he points out.
